Hillfest Returns to Wisconsin’s Back Country on June 2

Second annual event will offer three course distances for individuals and teams; Registration proceeds to benefit the Life Time Foundation

CHANHASSEN, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: LTM), The Healthy Way of Life Company, has officially announced the date for Hillfest 2012.

Taking place June 2 in Prescott, Wisc., Hillfest will follow some of the state’s most beautiful and steep back country roads while challenging cyclists of all abilities. The event will feature three different course options, ranging from the 25-kilometer, Life Time Foundation Family Ride to a 200-kilometer cycling challenge, and will include a new team component. Registration proceeds from the 25-kilometer ride will benefit the Life Time Foundation.

“Now in our second year, we are excited to bring Hillfest back to Prescott,” said David Janowiec, global brand manager, Life Time Athletic Events. “The new team elements and hill challenge we've included this year separate this ride from any other event currently being offered in the Midwest. With three different distances, everyone from families to hardcore cyclists can participate, and feel great about helping the Life Time Foundation further its current mission of improving children’s nutrition, one school lunch program at a time. My heart is really close to what the Life Time Foundation stands for and I believe that through this mission, we can change the way our kid’s school food programs are viewed, both by children and parents alike. It’s an awesome benefit ride.”

Hillfest features a 25-kilometer family ride for those looking for the perfect, safe introductory charity ride. Cyclists who are geared for the Midwest’s ultimate cycling challenge can take advantage of the 75- and 200-kilometer course distances, which includes the unique option for teams or clubs and three timed hill challenge legs as riders seek the chance to take home a Golden Saddle. All participants will receive a free commemorative Hillfest shirt and access to the Hill Festival, featuring food, an awards ceremony and live music.
